1. Scope and purpose

This policy explains how the X Followback Tracker extension handles data. Its single purpose is to highlight accounts without a follow-back indicator on your own X Following page, using relationship indicators already displayed on the page, and to show counts for currently rendered account cards.

2. Data handling disclosure: information accessed

• The current X / Twitter page path and the username in the profile navigation link, to determine whether you are viewing your own Following list.
• Account links, usernames, follow buttons, relationship indicators, and the page text and structure needed to identify those indicators in rendered account cards, to apply highlights and calculate current counts.
• The highlighting preference you set and your own username if you choose to enter it manually.

The extension does not read passwords, cookies, authentication tokens, direct-message content, or browser history, and does not call X's follow-relationship API.

3. Local storage and retention

The extension persistently stores only the highlighting preference (enabled) and optional username (ownHandle) using chrome.storage.local. These settings remain in the current browser profile until you change them or remove the extension. The extension does not use browser sync storage.

Page relationship information and counts are processed in runtime memory. No following-list or history database is created. These temporary states end or are recalculated when the page is closed or reloaded.

4. Transmission, sharing, and use restrictions

The extension does not send page information or local settings to the developer or third-party servers. It does not sell, share, or transfer this data, or use it for advertising, profiling, credit assessment, or purposes unrelated to highlighting. It contains no analytics or advertising SDKs or remotely executed code.

The developer cannot access your local data through the extension. The extension does not automatically follow or unfollow accounts or send content on your behalf.

5. Limited Use statement

X Followback Tracker's use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features described above. In the current version, all processing takes place locally, with no mechanism for data transmission or human access.

6. Your controls and data deletion

• Turn off highlighting in the extension popup to stop highlights. This does not delete saved settings.
• Clear the username field and click Save to remove your manually entered username.
• Remove the extension from chrome://extensions or edge://extensions to clear its local settings.

Local settings rely on browser and device access protections. The extension does not provide additional application-level encryption.

7. Website visits and voluntary feedback

This product website embeds no visitor analytics scripts, advertisements, or tracking cookies. When you visit 7ai.life, its hosting provider Cloudflare processes network information, such as IP addresses and request paths, needed to serve the website. This is separate from the relationship data processed locally by the extension. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Clicking GitHub or X links opens third-party websites, which handle visit and account data under their own policies. Feedback you choose to submit is stored by the respective platform, and the developer can read the content you provide to investigate issues. GitHub Issues are generally public. Do not submit passwords, tokens, cookies, complete following lists, or screenshots containing unredacted sensitive information.

8. Contact and policy updates

For privacy questions, contact us through GitHub Issues or the author @7ai_Life. For sensitive matters, first describe the issue and arrange an appropriate channel. If data handling changes, we will update the applicable version, effective date, and explanations on this page and provide notices as required.

9. Permissions and scope of operation

storage is the only API permission declared in the current manifest and is used to save the highlighting preference and optional username. Content scripts match https://x.com/*, https://www.x.com/*, https://twitter.com/*, and https://www.twitter.com/* to handle navigation within these sites. Highlighting runs only after the page is confirmed to be your own Following page.

The popup communicates with the content script in the current tab to retrieve counts. The extension does not request tabs, cookies, history, or access to all websites. Its logic is bundled with the installation package.

扩展不读取密码、Cookie、认证 Token、私信内容或浏览器历史记录，不调用 X 的关注关系 API。

3. 本地保存与保留期限

扩展仅通过 chrome.storage.local 持久保存标记开关（enabled）和可选用户名（ownHandle）。这些设置保留在当前浏览器配置中，直到你修改或移除扩展；扩展不使用浏览器同步存储。

页面关系信息和统计在运行时内存中处理，不建立关注列表或历史数据库。页面关闭或重新加载后，这些临时状态结束或重新计算。

4. 传输、共享与使用限制

扩展不将读取的页面信息或本地设置发送给开发者或第三方服务器，不出售、共享或转让这些数据，不用于广告投放、画像、信用评估或其他与标记功能无关的用途。不包含分析、广告 SDK 或远程执行代码。

开发者无法通过扩展访问你的本地数据。扩展不自动关注或取关，也不代替你发送内容。

5. Limited Use 声明

X Followback Tracker 对用户数据的使用遵守 Chrome Web Store User Data Policy，包括 Limited Use 要求。数据仅用于提供和改进上述面向用户的功能；当前版本的处理全部发生在本地，没有数据传输或人工读取机制。

6. 如何控制和清除数据

• 在扩展弹窗关闭开关，可停止高亮；这不会删除已保存设置。
• 将用户名输入框清空并点击保存，可清除手动填写的用户名。
• 在 chrome://extensions 或 edge://extensions 中移除扩展，可清除该扩展的本地设置。

本地设置依赖浏览器与设备访问保护，扩展不提供额外的应用层加密。

7. 网站访问与主动反馈

本产品网站未嵌入访客分析脚本、广告或追踪 Cookie。访问 7ai.life 时，网站托管服务 Cloudflare 会处理提供网页所需的 IP 地址、请求路径等网络信息；这与扩展本地处理的关注关系数据分开。参见 Cloudflare 隐私政策。

点击 GitHub 或 X 链接会访问第三方网站，其访问和账号数据由相应平台按自身政策处理。你主动提交的反馈由相应平台保存，开发者可读取你提供的内容以排查问题；GitHub Issues 通常公开可见。不要提交密码、Token、Cookie、完整关注列表或未脱敏截图。

8. 联系与政策更新

隐私问题可通过 GitHub Issues 或作者 @7ai_Life 联系。涉及敏感信息时，先描述问题并协商合适渠道。后续若数据处理方式变化，我们会更新本页的适用版本、生效日期和说明，并按适用要求提供提示。

9. 权限与运行范围

storage 是当前 manifest 唯一声明的 API 权限，用于保存开关和可选用户名。内容脚本匹配 https://x.com/*、https://www.x.com/*、https://twitter.com/* 和 https://www.twitter.com/*，以适配站内跳转；实际高亮仅在确认是本人 Following 页面后执行。

弹窗通过当前标签页与内容脚本通信以读取统计，不请求 tabs、cookies、history 或全网站访问权限。扩展逻辑随安装包提供。
